Here’s what my sales process looked like before (and If you’ve ever done high ticket calls or sales, then I’m sure you can relate)…
I call this the “call of doom”:
Step 1 - sales person gets a lead - someone who is interested in the service/program you’re selling
Step 2 - start off the conversation by asking the prospect how they’re doing today (even though they know you really don’t give a damn)
Step 3 - finds out why the prospect signed up, then explains them the program like he/she would with everyone else
Step 4 - sales person doesn't know how to keep control of the call, the prospect starts to give more resistance since the sales person couldn't keep confident
Step 5 - the prospect then asks for the price (sometimes might even ask in the beginning)
Step 6 - Prospect is shocked at the high price
Step 7 - prospect starts giving lots of resistance, usually on price
Step 8 - prospect gives a firm objection like “I need to think about it” or “I’ll get back to you in 24 hours” something along those lines
Step 9 - even if you deal with that objection they start saying they can’t make a decision now, so you follow up with them
Step 11 - The whole thing fizzles out, and hours end up being completely wasted, leading nowhere
Step 12 - Start over

That’s also around the time when I realized that university had been an absolute complete waste of time and money for most of the people who I talked to at the time.
There’s a stupid myth out there..that if you just go to college, get a job, everything will work out…
… Well sometimes it doesn’t..
And if you want a life of freedom, fun and adventure university is almost never the answer...
I know, because I saw many of my friends try.
I saw them give it everything they had.

Instead of sitting at a desk trying to convince people to buy a car or a personal training package what if I used my skills to close people from home on online programs they’re already interested in....
Now I’m sitting at my desk overlooking a beautiful view of Toronto while closing deals…
Once in a while I like to do this from somewhere else like sunny California. I have my own business where I am in complete control of my time, life and income.
Most importantly, I’m consistently closing.

You see, most sales people spend endless time trying to “convince” or “persuade” their clients and thinking the sale is in the follow up.

So even at a 10% close rate - you close 10 out of 100 people (which is absolutely terrible) on a $5000 program you’ve closed $50,000 worth of sales and you get $5000.
With my sales process myself and my closers are closing with a 50-75% closing rate....
So if we do the math again the number will be a bit more pleasing - you close 75% of 100 people on a $5000 program that’s $375,000 in sales and $37,500 in your pocket
Now this becomes a completely different ballgame once you start closing $10k and $20k packages over a phone call...just do the math
Even if you close 50 $10,000 packages in a month (which is very doable, its only 1-2 sales per day) that’s $500,000 in sales and $50k in your pocket that month
And yes there are many programs that marketers are selling that are high in price - like masterminds or in-person work-shops.
With that kind of close rate you can easily close 2-3 sales per day at $5000+. And if you’re committed enough to do that everyday you’ve got yourself a solid 6-figure business - without the risk of running a business.
